ABOUT ME
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m a junior technical audio designer based in California, specializing in immersive sound experiences for video games. My work blends a foundation in music production with creative implementation and audio programming to support emotionally impactful and interactive gameplay.
My passion for sound began early, shaped by years as both a musician and a gamer. In high school, I split my summers between music performance and learning to mod video games, two interests that would eventually converge. After earning a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music, I worked in recording studios, producing music for others and composing original works.
As I deepened my involvement with sound, I realized how profoundly audio shapes the player’s emotional experience. This led me to the School of Video Game Audio, where I focused on technical implementation and interactive audio systems. I’m committed to exploring the unique ways sound can bring game worlds to life and enhance storytelling through interactivity and nuance.
My approach draws heavily on my musical background. I enjoy designing soundscapes that weave tonally and rhythmically with music in real time, whether by adding harmonic dissonance to ambient layers to build tension, or syncing pitch with a game’s chord progression, much like the sound design in Super Mario Galaxy. I aim to create dynamic audio that responds to player choices and reinforces narrative direction.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me working through my backlog of games, practicing languages, or performing with my guitar. Thanks for stopping by, I’m excited to share my journey in game audio with you.
